Register Now and join your colleagues in Denver for the 2010 AERA Annual Meeting.

It is the policy of AERA that all persons in attendance at the 2010 AERA Annual Meeting and Exhibition, including participants who plan to attend one or more sessions, are required to register. Registration is not transferable.

Registration allows the individual to attend all open symposia and sessions, grants admission to the AERA Exhibit Hall, and provides the opportunity to purchase tickets to attend any of the AERA Professional Development extended courses and mini-courses, as well as tour tickets and events.

Please note for registration: In order to qualify for the AERA member rate, your membership must be current through 2010. This means that if your membership expires in December 2009, you must renew your membership for 2010 at the time of registration in order to qualify for the member rate.

Registration and housing must be done simultaneously. In addition, your AERA membership must be current through 2010 in order to receive the discounted AERA rate (see note below). Once you complete your registration, your registration summary will include a link to make an online hotel reservation. The link can be accessed from the online registration summary screen or the email registration confirmation. In the online registration Summary screen, select the button “Hotel Reservations” that appears in the upper left side of the screen. In the email confirmation, select the link “Hotel Reservations” in the upper right side of the email.  

Registration Rates 

Take advantage of the Early Bird Rate and register by March 19, 2010. Rates increase after March 19.  Early bird registration provides several advantages -- a discount on registration fees, hotel accommodations at special guaranteed group rates, and no delay or inconvenience on site.  In addition, attendees who pre-register by March 19 will get their badge in the mail and will only need to pick up the Annual Meeting Program, the Program Supplement, and a badge holder on-site.

Registration Information and Policies 

AERA Registration Customer Service

Badges 
Badges must be worn to gain admission to all events, including sessions, tours, the Exhibit Hall, and the Career Center.  Attendees whose registrations were received after March 19, 2010 will be required to pick up a badge on-site. Badges will be mailed only to pre-registrants who register by March 19, 2010. Pre-registrants residing in the United States and Canada can expect to receive the badges in the mail by April 9, 2010. If you have received confirmation of your registration but did not receive your badge, a new badge can be printed for you at the Registration Desk on-site. Please bring your badge to the meeting. There will be a $5 replacement fee for lost badges.

Guest Registration
Guest registration is designed for the spouse, partner, or family members of the registrant. Guests may visit the exhibits and attend the sessions in which the registrant is presenting. Guest registration is not applicable for professionals (including students) in the field of education research who will be attending sessions or presenting papers. Guest registration must be included as part of the registration of another individual. Only one guest is allowed per registrant. Guest badges will not include the guest’s institutional affiliation and “Guest” will be clearly noted on the badge.

Registration Payment
Registration fees may be charged to American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA. Purchase orders are not accepted as payment. Make checks for registration payable to AERA Registration Bureau in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank. No registration or housing request will be processed without applicable payment.

Refunds
Registration fees and/or Professional Development course fees will be refunded, less a $25 service charge, if a written request is received at the AERA Registration Bureau by March 19, 2010. Written requests can be e-mailed to aerameetings@expologic.com or faxed to (866) 518-9751. There is a $5 service charge for tour participant cancellations; the remainder of the tour fee will be refunded if a written request is received at the AERA Registration Bureau by March 19, 2010. AERA regrets that refunds for registration, Professional Development courses, and tours will not be made after March 19, 2010. It is the policy of AERA that registration is not transferable. On-Site Registration 

On-site registration will take place at the Colorado Convention Center, Hall F, Upper Level.
Hours are:
Thursday, April 29, 4:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Friday, April 30 – Monday, May 3, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 4, 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
