Dear Colleagues,
I am honored to serve as Vice President of Division I. As I embark on this journey alongside each of you, I'm committed to advancing rigorous research, scholarly inquiry, and engagement within our diverse community of professionals, junior scholars, and researchers. Over the next three years, my goal is to build upon the successes of past leadership and propel our collective efforts toward fulfilling our mission and achieving shared goals. Central to our mission is the promotion of scholarly research, new methodologies and technology, and innovative approaches to the assessment of professional competencies, learning, and competency-based education in the professions; support of junior scholars through mentorship and opportunities for professional development to empower them to make significant research contributions; and prioritizing foundational principles of equity and inclusion to guide our work, diversify and increase our membership, and foster inclusive practices in research and learning environments. To achieve our mission, I encourage you to actively engage in our learning communities to foster dialogue and collaboration in these critical areas so that we can contribute meaningfully to advancing research and education in various professions, including but not limited to the health professions, law, engineering, business and others.
I welcome new members to Division I and invite you to join us during this exciting season of change and research possibilities within professions education. I look forward to our collective efforts to achieve these goals together as we collaborate, innovate, and inspire each other.
